Trivia[]

  • Both the title and premise of this episode are likely a reference to the 1897 novel The Invisible Man by H. G. Wells. Alternatively it could be a reference to the 1997 comedy movie Invisible Dad, where a boy named Doug finds a magical machine that grants wishes, and accidentally turns his father invisible with it.
    • The latter likely, as in the episode, Tohru's parallel's Doug's line, "Sometimes, I wish mother/my dad would just disappear."
  • When Jackie first locates the cobra who lays the egg containing the Noble Snake, Jade references the practice of hypnotizing a cobra with unbroken eye contact. This concept was later referenced in the 2010 remake of The Karate Kid, which Jackie Chan co-starred in.
  • Whilst under the influence of a snake's venom, Jackie uses a fighting style inspired by Drunken Fist, popularized in Drunken Master, in which he played the starring role.
  • A man strongly resembling Mr. Jumba can briefly be seen in the background inspecting a market stall toward the end of the episode.
