The Sheep Talisman is one of the Twelve Talismans of Shendu. After Shendu was defeated and his powers scattered, the Sheep Talisman was hidden away.

Origin

When Lo Pei turned Shendu into a statue, the astral powers of Shendu formed the Sheep Talisman.

The Sheep Talisman was discovered inside a crate in a steam train near Istanbul.

Powers and Abilities

The user of the Sheep Talisman gains the power of astral projection, the ability to eject their soul from the body and wander around as a spirit. In this form, one is invisible (to humans), inaudible (to humans), is able to fly, pass through walls, and enter a person's dreams (where one can be seen and heard). The main advantage of the Sheep Talisman is that it allows the users to spy on others. It was also shown one can use the talisman to eject the souls of people other than the holder, as Daolon Wong demonstrates.

Despite all of its uses, it is next to useless in a physical fight. Using the talisman will cause the user's body to enter a comatose-like state and will remain motionless until a soul possesses it. The soul does not have to be the user's own for the body to return to animation; as demonstrated when Jackie and Jade switched bodies. The vacant body will be left vulnerable to physical harm and if the user returns to their body after it takes a physical hit, they will feel the pain immediately after regaining consciousness. The vacant body is also susceptible spiritual and demonic possession; as demonstrated when Shendu was able to possess Jade when both of their astral forms had left their bodies. Finally, one's astral form is visible to certain magical and spiritual beings, thereby not only negating the talisman's spying capabilities but also exposing the fact that the user's body is vulnerable.

Discovery of the Sheep Talisman

The Sheep Talisman was first sighted in the fifth episode of season one "Project A, for Astral". This talisman was discovered by Jackie in a crate inside a train bound for Istanbul. He was immediately attacked by Shadowkhan upon discovering it. They take the talisman and throw it to the Enforcers, who are in a helicopter. Jackie eventually recovers the talisman and returns it to Uncle's Shop where Jade steals, and activates it.

Later Findings on the Sheep Talisman

In "The Powers Unleashed", Jackie destroys the talismans with a laser blast. With no host for the powers of the talismans, the talisman powers go back to the corresponding animal of their zodiac.

The Sheep Talisman is among the only Talismans that does not provide any sort of advantage during a physical fight. In fact, it is the only Talisman to put the user at a disadvantage. Because of this, the Sheep Talisman has been regarded as one of the least desirable out of the bunch by both Jackie and Finn.
The Sheep Talisman is tied with the Tiger Talisman for having the least amount of users, with a total of 5.
