"Chalice filled with water from alter gives Muntabs eternal life; stay young forever."
Muntab Chief to Jackie Chan

The Chalice of Life is a magical chalice housed within the Lost City of the Muntabs, which, when filled with water from their sacred alter, grants eternal youth to those who drink from it.

History[]

After passing the Cave of Truth, Jackie and his followers were invited by the Muntab Chief to celebrate at his dining hall. When the chief refused to disclose his people's secret behind their indefinite lifespan to an overly-inquisitive John Smith, the millionaire deduced that the chalice was the key to their eternal youth. It was not until later that Abila noticed to her horror that the chalice had been stolen. Immediately suspecting Jackie of betraying them, the Muntabs began to turn on him until Jade convinced them that he was pure of heart by reminding them that he passed the Cave of Truth. Before long, Jackie noticed that both Smith and his manservant Larsen were missing, realizing they must have taken it. Having arranged a helicopter for extraction, Smith and Larsen both drank from the chalice, the former only allowing his butler to drink from it so that he could continue serving him indefinitely. When Jackie caught up to them, Smith threw the chalice into the jungle before kicking Jackie out of the helicopter. Landing safely in Jade's hands, the chalice was returned to the now aged Muntabs, who proceeded to drink from it once more, restoring their youth.

Trivia[]

  • The Chalice of Life's ability to rejugivate its user can be compared with the power of the Dog Talisman.
    • Whilst both are capable of restoring youth, however, the chalice is implied only to grant indefinite life as opposed to immortality, contrary to John Smith's belief.
