Trivia[]
- Daolon Wong briefly uses the Rooster Talisman powers in this episode confirming this episode takes place during the main seasonal arc as Daolon Wong still possesses the Rooster and Pig Talisman powers until Re-Enter the Dragon where Shendu reabsorbs those powers from him. It's unknown why exactly Finn, Ratso and Chow were absent from the episode though it's quite likely due to his disdain for his minions, Daolon Wong didn't want to summon them for this mission.
- This is the final episode where Tohru's Mother appears.
- 'Ultra Moose 2: Antler Gear Solid - Yellow Version' is likely a spoof of both Metal Gear Solid and Pokémon Yellow.
- Jade refers to Daolon Wong as the Grinch, referencing the titular character from the children's story How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss.
- When the J-Team attempt to rescue Santa from Daolon Wong, the former employs a distress signal on his belt that projects an emblem of a Christmas Tree in the sky closely resembling the Bat-Signal from the Batman comic book series.
- After Daolon Wong transforms a group of snowmen into deadly warriors, Viper refers to them as "Abominable Snowmen", referencing the 1957 horror film The Abominable Snowman.
- Upon his defeat, Daolon Wong cries "Bah, humbug!", referencing the phrase associated with the character Ebenezer Scrooge from the 1843 novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
